Before we place veneers, you’ll schedule a consultation with Dr. McMullin. We’ll discuss your smile goals and how veneers can transform your smile. Digital x-rays and scans will be necessary to evaluate your teeth and gums for gum disease and decay. These issues must be addressed first before placing veneers. After the initial consultation, we’ll determine the number of veneers needed. Some patients only need one or two veneers, while others need an entire set to create an even smile.

At your next appointment, the dentist will prepare your teeth by removing about 0.5mm of the front enamel. Enamel alteration creates space to accommodate the thickness of your veneers to ensure a seamless appearance. Then, we’ll take digital impressions of your teeth and send the images to our dental lab to custom-create your veneers. In the interim, you’ll wear a set of temporary veneers to protect your prepped teeth.

Once we receive your veneers from the lab, we’ll inform you to schedule an appointment to have them attached to your teeth. Dr. McMullin will inspect the fit and appearance of your veneers. A few adjustments may be necessary to ensure your veneers match the exact specifications of your teeth. Finally, we’ll cement your veneers to your teeth, providing immediate transformation.
